Join us at sundown for the Holiest night of the year when we dedicate and bless the new paschal candle, bless the waters of baptism and commemorate the resurrection of our Lord.
Catechumens are baptized and join Candidates to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation and be sealed with the seven gifts of the Holy Spirit.
These newest members of the Mystical Body of Christ are incorporated into His Church through the Sacrament of Baptism. Equally, Holy Mother Church receives those already imperfectly connected to her by their baptism in another Christian tradition separated from Rome. Both are received into the fulness of the Paschal Mystery.
The evening culminates with the reception of the Holy Eucharist - the Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Our Lord, Jesus Christ, who promised in John 6, "Whoever erats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life . . ."
