The GCWC sponsored a Touch-A-Truck fundraiser; a family-friendly, hands-on event that offers opportunities for children of all ages to EXPLORE and TOUCH trucks, emergency response vehicles, heavy machinery and other equipment and meet the personnel who protect, serve and build our community. Learning came alive when children connect these gigantic vehicles to our Greenwood County economy and possible careers such as military, first responders, farming, manufacturing, and construction.
Vehicles were on display include construction trucks, emergency response vehicles, tractor trailers, utility trucks, 18-wheelers, farm equipment, livestock, hay rides, a choo-choo-train, petting zoo, inflatable slide, games, BBQ, Pizza, grilled chicken, refreshments and more.
The women partnered with local organizations and businesses to bring different vehicles together for a unique, close up look and hands-on experience for the whole family while raising money to support local Greenwood County Charities.
